Travis Perry scored a game-high 34 points — and topped 2,000 career points — as Lyon County handled Crittenden County 86-56 Tuesday night at Jason White Gymnasium in Eddyville.

Perry, a freshman guard, needed just two points to hit the milestone. He got them on a pair of free throws with 5:07 left in the first quarter.

Just as Crittenden looked like it was about to make a game of it, trimming a 15-point deficit to eight in the second quarter, Lyon blew the game open.

The Lyons turned their eight-point edge into a 30-point bulge at halftime, 55-25.

The contest was never in doubt after that as Lyon swept its regular-season series against its 5th District rival.

Perry hit six 3-pointers and had 27 of his points in the first half. He added seven more points in the third quarter before watching the final stanza from the bench.

Brady Shoulders added four 3-pointers and 18 points for the Lyons while Jack Reddick finished with 10 points.

Lyon (17-3 overall, 4-0 district) made 13 shots from long range as a team.

The Lyons led by as much as 39 points in the second half.

Crittenden (6-6, 2-2) got 16 points from Gabe Mott and 10 from Preston Turley.

Lyon has added a date at McCracken County on Thursday.

Crittenden next hosts Webster County on Friday.
