Former Caldwell County Lady Tiger Katie Van Hooser had a big game Tuesday night as her Bethel University volleyball team defeated Cumberland (Tenn.) 3-1.
The senior setter recorded a team-high 27 assists along with 13 digs and a kill in the Lady Wildcats’ 24-17, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 victory.
Bethel moved to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Cumberland dropped to 3-12 and 0-4. The Phoenix lost their sixth match in a row.
VanHooser and the Bethel Lady Wildcats play at Georgetown College on Thursday.
