Hoptown Pitchers Provide the Fans in Baseball Scrimmage Win

Four Hopkinsville pitchers combined to strike out 20 batters in a 10-1 scrimmage win over Ohio County Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

Jacob Dilday and Preston Chaudoin both struck out six batters in two innings of work. Tim Cansler and Logan Durst both fanned four in their two innings.

Ohio County scored its only run on a walk, stolen base, and Hoptown error.

At the plate, Durst, Blake Balthrop, and Chaudoin all had two hits, and Chaudoin, Dilday, and Kaden West each drove in a pair of runs.

Hopkinsville batters had 11 hits and drew 10 walks.

Hoptown will open its 2021 baseball season at Fort Campbell Monday.
