Jaylen Boyd Has TD Run as Lindsey Wilson Finishes Regular Season 7-0

Seven different players scored touchdowns as Lindsey Wilson College finished off a perfect regular season with a 49-7 football win over Bethel (Tenn.) Friday night in Columbia.

One of those TDs was a 43-yard run by former Caldwell County standout Jaylen Boyd in the first quarter.

Boyd had just seven carries in the contest, but totaled a team-high 60 yards on the ground as Lindsey Wilson spread the wealth on offense while piling up 493 yards.

No. 3 Lindsey Wilson improved to 7-0 while claiming the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division title.

The Blue Raiders entered Friday’s game ranked No. 3 in the NAIA in scoring offense at 47.7 points a game.

Boyd has rushed for a team-high 368 yards this season for Lindsey Wilson, averaging 4.7 yards a carry. He has five touchdowns on the ground.

Boyd has also caught 13 passes for 107 yards and two scores.

Next up for Boyd and the Blue Raiders will be the NAIA playoffs.
