Fowler Leads Lady Colonel Effort in the Region Pool

Sophi Fowler had a pair of top-10 finishes to pace the Christian County girls Saturday at the Region I Swim Meet at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.

Fowler finished seventh in the 100-yard free [1:03.35] and came in 8th in the 50-yard free [29.09].

LADY COLONEL FINISHES

Sophie Lacy – 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke [1:42.61]

Reese Dexter – 19th in the 100-yard free [1:13.22]; 21st in the 50-yard free [33.70]

Sadie Bahr – 20th in the 100-yard free [1:20.71]; 24th in the 50-yard free [36.37]

Dakota Ming – 21st in the 100-yard free [1:26.23]; 26th in the 50-yard free [39.27]

 

The 200-yard free relay team of Sophi Fowler, Reese Dexter, Sadie Bahr, and Dakota Ming finished sixth in a time of 2:17.96.

The 400-yard free relay team of Sophi Fowler, Reese Dexter, Sadie Bahr, and Dakota Ming also finished sixth in 5:11.19.

Murray won the girls’ team title with 429 points. Hopkinsville was region runner-up with 295.5 points. Fort Campbell came in seventh with 92 points, and Christian County was eighth with 75 points.

Murray also won the combined team score with 797 points. Madisonville and McCracken County finished second and third respectively. Hopkinsville was fourth with 342.5. Fort Campbell was sixth with 276 points, and Christian County was ninth with 119 points.

The region meet was held without fans or the media per KHSAA attendance regulations due to COVID-19.
