Lady Falcon Swimmers Take Seventh at Region Meet

Fort Campbell’s girls’ swim team finished seventh Saturday at the Region I Swim Meet held at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center at Hopkinsville High.

LADY FALCON FINISHES

Alexsa Hoffman – 7th in the 200-yard IM [2:43.49]; 12th in the 50-yard free [30.48]

Sunny Joo – 7th in the 100-yard fly [1:19.79]; 8th in the 100-yard backstroke [1:22.13]

Anika Weisbrich – 12th in the 100-yard free [1:09.38]

Jinny Joo – 8th in the 100-yard breaststroke [1:25.47]; 17th in the 100-yard free [1:11.03]

Alyssa Wiser – 13th in the 100-yard backstroke [1:30.65]; 20th in the 50-yard free [33.58]

Sophie Lacy – 23rd in the 50-yard free [36.36]

 

The 200-yard medley relay team of Sunny Joo, Jinny Joo, Anika Weisbrich, and Alexsa Hoffman finished fifth in 2:22.24.

Murray won the girls’ team title with 429 points. Hopkinsville was region runner-up with 295.5 points. Fort Campbell came in seventh with 92 points, and Christian County was eighth with 75 points.

Murray also won the combined team score with 797 points. Madisonville and McCracken County finished second and third respectively. Hopkinsville was fourth with 342.5. Fort Campbell was sixth with 276 points, and Christian County was ninth with 119 points.

The region meet was held without fans or the media per KHSAA attendance regulations due to COVID-19.
