Felker’s Grand Slam Highlights Caldwell’s 21-0 Win at Dawson Springs

The Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball team had a big day at Dawson Springs on Tuesday.

Allie Felker hit a grand slam as part of a 14-run first inning and the Lady Tigers went to blank the Lady Panthers 21-0 in three innings in 7th District action.

Caldwell banged out 16 base hits in the contest. Besides Felker’s home run, the Lady Tigers got doubles from Brylee Butts, Harper Holeman and Shelby Lane.

Holeman, A.J. Hollowell and Majah Hollowell each went 2-for-2.

After the huge first inning, Caldwell added five runs in the second inning and two more in the third.

Meanwhile, Caldwell pitcher Addie Cagle allowed just one hit in the three-inning contest. She struck out two and walked two.

The Lady Tigers are now 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the district.

The Lady Panthers are 0-5 and 0-1.

Caldwell’s girls have won 13 straight against Dawson Springs.

The Lady Tigers have another district road game coming up on Thursday when they visit Hopkins County Central.
