The first eight batters Franklin Road Christian sent to the plate reached base and scored as the Murfreesboro, Tennessee school handed Heritage Christian Academy a 22-12 loss Monday in the Volunteer State.

FRC led 9-0 after two innings before HCA responded with a four-run third inning and five more in the fourth to tie the game at 9-9.  However, FRC put another eight-spot on the board in the fourth inning and ended a five-run fifth with a walk-off hit that kicked in the mercy rule.

Fifth-grader Hadlee Hayes reached base four times and scored three runs for the Lady Warriors.  Kailyn Johnson, Hallie Zieg, Kinley Deason, and Chloe Ginn each scored twice.

HCA will host North Hardin Christian on Friday, April 30 in a KCAA contest.  HCA entered the week ranked No. 5 in the KCAA Power Poll, while North Hardin Christian is ranked No. 4.
