Helped by five school records, the University Heights Academy Track and Field team finished eighth at the Chuck Gullo Relays Friday hosted by Marshall County High School.

Tomas Duncan, who got a late start to the track season while he was a member of the Blazer basketball team that advanced to the Sweet 16 last month, finished second in the 1600-meter run in a school-record time of 4:31.78.

Connor Dill won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.89, which bettered his previous mark of 16.17 set last week.  Since his first meet in March, the UHA junior has trimmed over two seconds off his time.

UHA also set new school marks in three relays – the 400, 1600, and 3200 meters.  The 800-meter relay time was just three seconds off the school mark.

The track meet, which honors long-time Marshall County track and cross country coach Chuck Gullo, offers several hybrid relay events in addition to normal jumping and relay events.
