The University Heights Academy girls’ track and field team brought home a fifth-place finish Friday at the Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays hosted by Marshall County High School.

Ragen Pollard set a new school record in the discus throw with a heave of 84 feet.

UHA finished in sixth place with 50.5 points.  Marshall County, competing without state champion hurdler and jumper Sophie Galloway, still won with 110 points, edging Henderson County by nine points.

UHA’s fellow Class 1A region competitor Murray was third with 71 points.

The track meet, which honors long-time Marshall County track and cross country coach Chuck Gullo, offers several hybrid relay events in addition to normal jumping and relay events.
