A former Lyon County player has been named the next head coach of the program she’s been involved with for the past several years.
Dawn Cotham was named the Lady Lyon girls’ basketball head coach Friday.
Cotham has been an assistant coach under Jeff Doom for the past several years and has coached at different levels in the program.
Cotham will replace Doom, who was 191-152 as Lady Lyon basketball coach. Doom won three district championships and a pair of All A region titles before stepping down after the 2020-21 season.
