Falcons Take Top Spot at Hoptown Track and Field Invitational

A strong afternoon in the sand gave the Fort Campbell boys’ track and field team a 1st-place finish at the Hopkinsville Invitational on Saturday.  The Falcons earned over a third of their 113 points from the long jump and triple jump, topping 2nd-place Trigg County by 26 points.

Top Fort Campbell Scorers

Niklas Sujanani – 3rd in the 100-meter dash (11.90); 3rd in the 200-meter dash (23.92); 2nd in the long jump (19-04.00).

Cole MacMurray – 1st in the 300-meter hurdles (46.57); 6th in the 110-meter hurdles (20.48).

Amari Waddy – 1st in the triple jump (38-02.50); 2nd in the high jump (5-08.00)

Mateo Cerritos Gatto – 11th in the 100-meter dash (12.71); 11th in the 400-meter dash (59.23).

DaQuan Robinson – 12th in the 100-meter dash (12.72); 6th in the high jump (5-04.00).

Jeremiah Holley – 8th in the 400-meter dash (56.63); 1st in the long jump (20-04.00).

Jacob Gamez – 12th in the 200-meter dash (25.45).

Aiden Fix – 14th in the 400-meter dash (1:00.64); 14th in the 800-meter run (2:24.80).

Adam Wroblewski – 23rd in the 400-meter dash (1:23.02).

Nathan Kovacevic – 17th in the 800-meter run (2:27.16).

Grant Shrader 5th in the 3200-meter run (12:36.15).

Darrion Hutson – 4th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.45); 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles (57.11).

John Montalvo – 7th in the triple jump (33-03.50).

Jarrett Barker – 6th in the shot put (34-06.00); 10th in the discus (83-09.75).

The 4×100-meter relay team finished 2nd (45.96); the 4×200-meter relay team finished 2nd (1:37.45); the 4×400-meter relay team finished 6th (3:58.96).
