With over two weeks to go before the track and field postseason begins, University Heights Academy is continuing to slot people in the events that give them the best chance to win a region title and make a strong run at state.

The Blazers finished sixth Saturday at the Area 1 Championships, just three points behind region rival Murray.

It took a school record run by McCracken County’s Donsten Brown to end Connor Dill’s unbeaten streak in the 300-meter hurdles.  The UHA junior still finished second in both hurdle events.

Tomas Duncan, who earlier in the week signed to run at Coastal Carolina, had a pair of top-3 finishes in the mid-distance events.
