Jase Felker Announces He Will Play Baseball at UK

A big season at Rend Lake College this spring has led to a big opportunity for a former Caldwell County Tiger standout.

Jase Felker announced on social media Wednesday night his next stop.

“Blessed to announce I will be continuing my baseball and academic career next year at the University of Kentucky. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way! Go Cats!!! #WeAreUK”

Felker hit .414 this spring at Rend Lake, which wrapped up its season last week with a 21-21 record.

Felker led the team in home runs with 10 and in runs batted in with 55. His on-base percentage was over .500 at .509 and his slugging percentage was .736. Felker stole 18 bases in 20 attempts.

Felker, who has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining, received numerous Division I offers this spring.

Felker is a 2018 Caldwell County High School grad. He was a member of the Tigers’ back-to-back 2nd Region championship teams in both 2016 and 2017.

He played last summer in the Kentucky Prospects Collegiate League in Paducah.
