Caldwell’s Guys Set 2 School Records at Marshall Meet

Caldwell County’s guys were fourth in the Marshall County Double Quad Track Meet Tuesday — and set a pair of school records in the process.

The Tigers had 97.5 team points in the meet.

Fort Campbell won the event with 128.5 points, followed by Graves County (127.5) and Marshall County (123.5).
Ballard Memorial placed fifth with 54 points.

Caldwell’s new school marks came in the 4×100-meter relay and the 4×200 relay. Giovante Riley, Blake Vivrette, Baron Wells and Ethan Weatherspoon ran both of those events. The 4×100 time was 44.9 seconds while the 4×200 was 1:33.45.

Meanwhile, Vivrette also won the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.49 seconds. He tied for first in the high jump competition at 6-feet even.

Wells won the 200-meter dash in 23.65 seconds and was fifth in the 100 in 11.58.

Weatherspoon was third in the 100-meter dash in 11.44 seconds and placed fourth in the 200 in 24.36 seconds.

Isaiah Joyner turned in a third-place showing in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.02 seconds. Joyner was also third in the triple jump at 39 feet, 0.5 inches and was eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 24.32.

Cale Goodwin was third in the 3,200-meter run in 14:42.62.

Canyon Richardson was fourth in the 400-meter dash in 58.45 seconds.

Ethan Ward was eighth in the discus with a throw of 92 feet, 1 inch.

Caldwell will compete at Trigg County next Tuesday, May 25.
