Hoptown’s Fort and Lester Get Top Seed in Regional Girls’ Doubles

Hopkinsville’s #1 doubles team will have the top seed in the girls’ doubles regional tennis tournament which will get underway Monday. This year’s tournament is being hosted by Henderson County High School.

The top seeds for the event are:

#1 seed – Allie Fort/Ella Lester – Hopkinsville
#2 seed – Cameron Chandler/Merrick Conkright – Henderson County
#3 seed – Natalie Richey/Chloe Mackey – Hopkins Central
#4 seed – Abbie Michalek/Hannah Corbin – Webster County

Fort and Lester will open play in the second round as they take on Rachael McClung and Keegan Miller, of Caldwell County.

Chandler and Conkright will get rolling in the second round when they take on Chloe Metcalfe and Rachel Williams from Hopkins Central.

Richey and Mackey will start play in the second round as they take on Emily Kuykendall and Allie Newman, of Webster County.

Michalek and Willams start their trip through the bracket in the second round taking on Grasen Givens and Ella Brown, of Hopkinsville.

The girls begin play Monday on the courts at Water Street in downtown Henderson.
