The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers will have two of the top four seeds and the overall top seed will be from Fort Campbell as the girls’ regional tennis tournament gets underway Monday. This year’s event is being hosted by Henderson County.
The top seeds for the tournament, as selected by the coaches are:
#1 seed – Victoria Lopez Rodriguez – Fort Campbell
#2 seed – Sophie Maddux – Hopkinsville
#3 seed – Abby Moss – Hopkinsville
#4 seed – Zoe Lawrence – Henderson County
Rodriguez, who has been dominant in region play during the season, will play her first match in the second round when she takes on Anna Maddux, of Christian County.
Sophie Maddux will take on UHA’s Mitali Patel in the second round.
Abby Moss will open play against Lyon County’s Zoe Board in the second round.
Zoe Lawrence starts play in the second round against Lauren Anderson, of Fort Campbell.
Girls’ regional tennis play begins Monday on the courts at Water Street, overlooking the Ohio River.
