Jase Hampton won for the sixth time in six starts this year to help the Todd County Central Rebels beat the Trigg County Wildcats 4-2 Friday at the Complex in Cadiz.

The sophomore lefty pitched six strong innings, giving up just two earned runs on six hits.  He walked three and fanned three.  His season ERA actually ticked up a bit from 1.09 to 1.32.

Trigg County also got a strong pitching performance from Isaac Peca. The junior right-hander pitched a complete-game four-hitter. He only allowed two earned runs and stuck out 11 against two walks.

But three Trigg errors led to three Rebel runs, and a fourth reached base on a passed ball.

Jameson Hunt had an RBI hit for the Rebels in the first inning. He also reached on an error in the sixth inning that led to Todd’s fourth run.

Trigg scored one run in the first when Andrew Williamson and Tyler Ahart led off with singles. Joe Peca plated Williamson with a sacrifice fly.

The Wildcats added a run in the third when Isaac Peca singled home his brother. However, the rally was short-lived as the Rebels turned a triple play on the next pitch to get out of the inning.

With its 19th win, Todd County Central is one victory away from becoming the fifth team from the Fourth Region to win 20 games.  Todd County also snapped a 10-game losing streak to Trigg County dating back to 2010.

The Rebels will host McLean County Monday.

Trigg County fell to 7-14 with its fifth straight loss.  They will travel to Whitesville Trinity Saturday for a doubleheader.
