The Murray Lady Tigers would find all the offense they needed Monday night in their very first at-bat. Murray pitcher Kylie Chapman gave up only four hits on the night as the Lady Tigers rolled to 9-0 win over the Trigg County Lady Wildcats at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

Chapman was nearly untouchable in the circle as she struck out eleven batters in the game to lead the Murray effort.

Murray scored one run in the first and would then put the game away with four runs in the third and three more in the fourth to go up 8-0. The Lady Tigers added one more run in the top of the fifth.

Phelan Dossett paced the Trigg County effort, going 2-4 at the plate with two doubles. Audrey Alexander and Makenna Hendricks added the other hits for the Lady Wildcats.

Avery Wade and Kara Hyde combined to pitch seven innings for Trigg County.

With the loss to Murray, the Lady Wildcats drop to 7-14 on the year. They are set to return to action Tuesday at Community Christian.
