The Christian County Lady Colonels will take some nice positive momentum in the softball postseason. Just hours after picking up a Friday night win, the Lady Colonels pounded out 12 hits on their way to a surprisingly easy 14-1 five-inning win over the Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces.

The Lady Colonels scored in every inning but the second, plating two in the first, six in the third, two in the 4th, and four more in the fifth.

Gracie Harned had a big day for Christian County, both in the circle at the plate. Harned pitched all five innings, giving up just the one earned run, on three hits, while striking out three and walking one. Between Friday night and Saturday morning, Harned has giving up just 3 runs in 12 innings of work.

Harned, who has been on a tear at the plate in recent days, went 3-4, with two doubles, four RBIs, and three runs scored.

Pickle Winkler, Karlee Crick, Tenley Gilbert, and Aalaisha McGregor had two hits each for the Lady Colonels. Crick added a home run for the Lady Colonels.

The Lady Colonels wrap up the regular season at 21-13 and will enter 8th District play on Monday coming off back-to-back wins.
