Emma Talley is in San Francisco this week for the U.S. Women’s Open golf tournament.

The Caldwell County High School grad sees opening round action on Thursday, teeing off of No. 1 at 2:35 p.m. Pacific time.

Talley is paired with Lucy Li and amateur Monica Vaughn.

For the first time in its illustrious history, The Olympic Club is hosting the world’s best female golfers as they compete at the U.S. Women’s Open, conducted by the United States Golf Association.

The field of 156 players will battle for a $5.5 million purse, the largest purse in women’s golf history, and one player will earn the coveted title of U.S. Women’s Open champion.

Talley’s tee time for Friday’s second round is 8:50 a.m. Pacific time.

Following the second round, the field will be cut to the top 60 and ties.

Talley earned her spot in San Francisco by placing second in qualifying action in St. Peters, Mo., in April.

Talley is a three-time Kentucky state medalist at Caldwell County, a four-time All-American at the University of Alabama and the 2015 NCAA individual champion with the Crimson Tide.
