Caldwell County senior two-sport standout Majah Hollowell is headed to Kentucky State University, where she will join the Thorobreds softball program.
But first, Hollowell has unfinished business with the Lady Tiger softball team, which will begin play this weekend in the 2nd Region tournament.
Hollowell, Caldwell’s starting centerfielder, carries a .412 batting average into the 7th District championship game Thursday night against Madisonville-North Hopkins.
Hollowell has slugged a team-high six home runs while driving in 25 so far this season.
Caldwell’s girls enter the district final with a 14-13 record.
Hollowell also starred on the Lady Tiger basketball team this past season. She was second on the team with 9.4 points a game as the Lady Tigers went 8-12.
Majah’s younger sister, A.J. Hollowell, is a sophomore on the Caldwell softball team and also was a member of the Lady Tiger basketball team.
