Caldwell County High School has a new athletic director.

Longtime CCHS assistant football coach Jeff Riley has been named the school’s AD. He officially begins that role July 1.

Riley replaces Kim Farmer, who has retired from the school system. Farmer was a former assistant AD under David Barnes, but took over the athletic director’s role when the former Tiger football head coach died in August of 2019.

Meanwhile, Riley has been an assistant football coach at Caldwell since 2003. He was the Caldwell County Middle School athletic director from 2008-15.

With Jeff Riley taking over the AD’s job at CCHS, Waynee McGowan will remain in his role as assistant AD. McGowan took over the assistant’s job when Farmer became the school’s athletic director.
