Caldwell County junior Blake Vivrette has been named Second-Team All-State in the high jump by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Vivrette finished third in the high jump at the Class 2A State Meet earlier this month with a height of six feet. The mark equaled his season-best and was two inches behind T.J. Miller’s school record of 6-2 set at the 2009 state meet.
Bardstown’s Avery Bell won the event at 6-feet, 4-inches.
Vivrette’s third-place finish at the state meet is the best for a Caldwell athlete since Landon Holt finished second in the 400-meter run and third in the 110-meter hurdles in 2016.
