Madisonville sophomore Brenna Sherman has been named to the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Class 2A Honorable Mention All-State Team.
The Lady Maroon sophomore hit a blistering .546 at the plate and was among the Second Region leaders in batting average. She blasted 10 home runs and knocked in 46 at the dish – both team highs. 23 of her 53 hits were for extra bases, including 10 doubles. She struck out just five times in 110 plate appearances.
While Kentucky softball is an unclassified sport, the coaches split the state into three classes for the purpose of its all-state awards given out each year.
