Madisonville’s Katherine Weir capped the GO Junior Golf summer series by winning the southern championship Thursday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Weir shot a 7-over 78 to edge Rheagan Lindsey of University Heights Academy by one shot. Weir also won the season points championship.
Riley Johnson of Christian County shot a career-best 88 to finish third Thursday and bring home second place in the points.
Alexis Johnson was fourth Thursday with a 102 and captured third place in the 16-18 age division.
