An even-par total through 36 holes has earned Emma Talley another 36 holes in the Amundi Evian Championship in France.

Talley carded a 1-under-par 70 on Friday after shooting a 1-over 72 in the first round on Thursday.

That put her in a tie for 56th in the fourth major of the season on the LPGA Tour and left her one shot above the cutline.

Starting on No. 10 in the second round, Talley had two birdies and two bogeys on the back nine at the Evian Resort Golf Club course to finish with an even 36 on that side.

Talley then recorded eight straight pars on the front nine before birdying the par-5 9th hole to get to 1-under on the round and even overall.

The former Caldwell County High School and University of Alabama star will begin her third round on Saturday at 8:07 a.m. in Evian-les-Bains, France. That’s 1:07 a.m. Central Daylight Time.

Jungeon Lee6 leads the Evian Championship after carding the lowest round ever in a golf major with a 10-under 61 in Friday’s second round. She is at 15-under overall.

Ariya Jutanugarn and Pajaree Anannarukam are second at 12-under.

Talley also made the cut at the Evian Championship in 2018. She tied for 37th in that tournament, earning $20,835.
