Rocco Zakutney’s Strong Finish Secures Cullan Brown Invitational Win

An eagle and two birdies Friday helped St. Mary senior Rocco Zakutney win the second annual Bluegrass Golf Tour Cullan Brown Invitational at the Calvert City Country Club.

Zakutney eagled the par-5 17th hole to finish the back-nine at 3-under.  He came in with an even-par 36 to claim the title by one shot over day one leader Logan Liles of Lewis County.

Madisonville senior Jackson Hill finished at even par, four shots behind Zakutney for third place.  Jacob Lang of Alvaton was fourth at 4-over.

Marshall County’s Trey Wall and Hopkinsville High alum James Folz tied for fifth place in the high school division at 5-over.

Folz was allowed to play in the college division as an incoming freshman and won the title by three shots over Garrett Rikel.

Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds was seventh in the high school division at 7-over for the two days.

 

Incoming Centre freshman and Hopkinsville High alum James Folz won the college division of the Cullan Brown Invitational Friday.
