Trigg County put the first four runners across the finish line to win the Fenton Dawson Invitational Saturday in dominant fashion.
Wildcat junior Austin Cavanaugh repeated as Fenton Dawson Invitational champ, setting a course record in 18:17. The win was Cavanaugh’s third invitational victory in his career.
Timmy Cannon was second in 18:44 followed by Marshall Jenkins in third place in 18:48 and fourth place Riley Thompson in 18:49.
River Oliver came in eighth place in 19:14 followed by Joseph Crawford in 41st place in 21:53 and Jack Lingenfelter in 67th place in 24:14. Christian Nott was 77th in a time of 25:00.
Trigg County’s team score of 18 points was three off a perfect score. McCracken County was second with 72 points, and Apollo was third with 104 points.
