Sophomore Lania Hite continued to carry the scoring load for the Trigg County girls’ soccer team on Thursday, finding the back of the net for the fifth and sixth times this season to drive the Lady Wildcats to a 2-1 victory over hosts Hopkins County Central.

Hite got started early to put Trigg in front, finishing off a pass from Olivia Noffsinger inside the first minute of the match.

The duo hooked up again for Hite’s second goal just six minutes before the halftime break and the Lady Wildcats led 2-0 after forty minutes.

Trigg looked set for its second clean sheet of the season, but the Lady Storm broke through with a goal directly off a corner kick in the final minute.

The Lady Wildcats improve to 3-2 ahead of a trip to face Fort Campbell on Tuesday.  The Lady Storm head to Union County on Tuesday in hopes of climbing back to .500.
