Trigg Boys Run to Top-20 Finish at Memphis Twilight Classic

The Trigg County boys’ cross country team joined almost fifty schools and over 350 runners at the City Auto Memphis Twilight XC Classic on Saturday.

The Wildcats, led by Austin Cavanaugh’s top-50 run, finished in 15th-place with an average time of 18:25.  Houston High School took the top spot with an average of 16:44.

Cavanaugh was the top Wildcat finisher in 42nd-place with a 17:13.90.  Timmy Cannon was next at 74th with a 17:46.87, and Marshall Jenkins just missed a top-100 time with an 18:23.23.

Riley Thompson crossed the line in 142nd with an 18:48.65, followed by Travis Cavanaugh with a 19:53.40, Joseph Crawford at 20:45.62, and Jack Lingenfelter with a 20:57.80.
