It was a tough way for the Christian County Colonels to return to action. After being in protocol since their last match on August 25, the Colonels had to return to the pitch at the Stadium of Champions and face regional contender Henderson County.

And, the northern Colonels looked every bit the part of a team that could claim the second region championship.

Henderson County scored eight goals inside the first 18 minutes of the match and would go on to end the match at halftime with a 10-0 mercy-rule win. Not only was Henderson dominant on the offensive end, but the Colonels also did not allow Christian County a shot on goal in forty minutes of play.

For the match, Henderson County outshot Christian County 21-0.

Six different Henderson players scored in the match. Ashton Todd led the Henderson effort with three goals. Jack Gentry and Braeden Myers-Curry added two goals each. Trevor Book, Zander Wilson, and Elijah Stewart added goals for the northern Colonels.

Christian County is set to be back in action Thursday evening as they go on the road to take on Warren East.
