Heritage Christian Academy’s first trip to the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference State Volleyball Tournament was a short one as the Lady Warriors dropped both matches.

HCA played Christian Fellowship for a third time this season. The Lady Warriors won the previous two matches but not the third as the Lady Eagles took a 25-23, 18-25, 18-16 win.

Elle Heltsley had 12 kills and four aces for the Lady Warriors, and Mya Goodwin had five kills and 15 assists.  Bailey Craft chipped in with two kills and seven assists and Bella Peach had 19 digs.

In the consolation bracket, HCA lost to Calvary Christian 25-22, 25-13.

Lexie Crisp had three kills and six digs, and Heltsley added four kills and two aces. Goodwin had six assists and Craft had five.

Heritage Christian was scheduled to play Community Christian Friday night but advanced in the tournament due to a COVID issue with CCA that caused them to withdraw from the tourney.

Trinity Christian Academy beat Christian Fellowship to win the KCAC state title.

Heritage Christian’s season record is now 17-4. The Lady Warriors will host Bowling Green Christian Tuesday.
