Madisonville Deals Lady Lyons First Loss in Over a Month

Madisonville-North Hopkins got two goals apiece from Camryn LaGrange and Lillie Carman while handing Lyon County its first loss in over a month.

The Lady Maroons scored three goals in the first 27 minutes to build a 3-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Lady Lyons 5-1 at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville.

LaGrange also had two assists while Carman added one assist as the Lady Maroons improved to 10-5-1.

Kailey Barber had a goal and an assist for Madisonville as well.

Leah Schroeder scored the lone goal for the Lady Lyons.

Shelby Chandler made four saves for the Lady Maroons while Maddie Russell was busier in the Lyon net, recording 15 saves.

Lyon, now 11-2-2, had not lost since a 1-0 setback to University Heights Academy in the All A Classic on Aug. 17.

The Lady Lyons had gone 9-0-1 since that time.

The Lady Lyons will head to Mayfield on Monday.

Madisonville will host McCracken County in the Lady Donley Classic on Saturday.
