Caldwell County’s girls were blanked in their two games in the Christian County Colonel Showcase on Saturday at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville.
Host Christian shut out the Lady Tigers 2-0 in their opener early Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville then beat Caldwell 3-0 early Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Colonels got goals from Autumn Bell and Megan Lacy to pick up the win over Caldwell.
Bell’s goal came late in the first half while Lacy scored late in the second half to put the contest away for Christian (2-7-1).
Caldwell also trailed just 1-0 at halftime against Hopkinsville, but saw Hoptown score twice in the second half.
Abby Moss gave Hopkinsville the lead with her goal midway through the first half.
Moss struck again early in the second half, getting help from Emily Acosta in the 43rd minute to make it 2-0.
Grasen Givens put the game away with her goal in the 60th minute. Moss assisted on that goal for Hoptown (7-6-1).
Caldwell, now 5-11, plays at home on Monday against Crittenden County.
