Former Caldwell County standout Jaylen Boyd scored two touchdowns on Saturday as No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson College rolled to a 50-15 victory over St. Andrews in Laurinburg, N.C.
It was the 14th straight win overall for the Blue Raiders, matching the program record set over the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Lindsey Wilson is 3-0 this season.
Boyd scored on a 1-yard run with 2:47 left in the first half, then added a 9-yard touchdown carry with 9:06 left in the contest.
Boyd is No. 2 on Caldwell’s all-time rushing list but No. 1 on Lindsey Wilson’s career list.
He had 64 yards on 18 carries in Saturday’s win.
He also caught two passes for six yards.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2:30 p.m. next Saturday when the Blue Raiders host Cumberland (Tenn.) during homecoming weekend.
