Colonels Get Top 10 Finish at Marshall County Invitational

A trio of runners finishing in the top forty led the way for the Christian County Colonels to pick up a top 10 team finish Saturday at the Marshall County Invitational. The Colonels ended up in 9th place at the event.

Camden Britton was the top finisher for Christian County with a time of 18:40.88. That time put him in 24th place. Thomas Ashby, of Apollo, won the boys’ race, while Austin Cavanaugh, of Trigg County, finished in 2nd place.

As a team, the Colonels had 232 points, which placed them ninth. West Plains High School won the boys’ race with Trigg County taking second.

Christian County finishers in the race were:

Camden Britton – 24th place
Wyatt Fleming – 33rd place
Michael Webb – 36th place
Rex Taggart – 81st place
Joseph Parker – 83rd place
Hector Munoz – 100th place
J.T. Miles – 108th place
Eli Harrison – 116th place
Antonio Smoot – 145th place
