Brandon Leads Todd County Central to 10th Place at 3rd Region Golf Tourney

The Todd County Central Rebels saw the 2021 high school golf season come to an end for them Tuesday. The Rebels were at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville for the 3rd Region golf tournament.

The Rebels finished the day with a team score of 350. That score tied them for 10th place with Metcalfe County.

Greenwood won the team title to advance on to the boys’ state golf tournament. The Gators shot a 293 and finished seven shots ahead of Bowling Green. South Warren was third with a 319, while Franklin Simpson ended up in 4th place with a team score of 321.

In the individual competition, Greenwood’s Michael Lang took medalist honors with a one-under par 71. His teammates Jacob Lang and Sunny Pal finished second and third with scores of 72 and 73.

For the Todd County Central Rebels, Jacob Brandon led the way with a round of 85. The Todd County finishes were:

Jacob Brandon – 85 – 30th place
Jase Paul Hampton – 86 – 37th place
Noah Rager – 89 – 48th place
Preston Rager – 90 – 50th place
Cole Sawyers – 97 – 68th place
