Despite a week between matches, the Heritage Christian Academy soccer team took care of business once again Saturday as they captured a 7-0 win over Lakeside Christian on Senior Day.

The Warriors end the regular season with a 7-0-1 record and ranked No. 1 in the latest KCAA Power Poll.

Five different players scored for the Warriors who scored four goals in a 24-minute stretch of the first half.  Vova West scored the first of his two goals in the 14th minute off a pass from Carlos Robles.

Kris Ruth added an unassisted goal five minutes later for a 2-0 Warrior lead.

Robles again fed West in the 35th minute for his 15th goal of the season.

Trenton Hayes tallied the final goal of the half for the Warriors to put HCA ahead 4-0 at intermission.

Robles’ third assist of the day found Hayes, who banged home his 13th goal of the season in the 55th minute.

West made a nice pass to a surging Trentin Fowler, who moved up from his defender spot to score HCA’s sixth goal of the game.  Robles ended the scoring in the 78th minute with his fifth goal of the year.

Matt Wills only saw two shots and saved them both as the HCA defense recorded its fifth shutout in eight games this season.  They’ve allowed just four goals.

The Warriors will likely enter the KCAA State Tournament as the No. 1 seed and a bye into the semifinals
