Trigg County quarterback Jacob Wease has moved into the school’s top-10 in several categories midway through his junior season.

Wease had three touchdown passes in Friday’s loss to Paducah Tilghman. He has 13 this year and 32 for his career, which ranks eighth on the school’s list. Dan Moser threw 56 touchdown passes from 1997-2000. Moser also holds the school record for yards, attempts, and completions.

Wease’s 166 career completions move him into ninth place while his 367 attempts rank eighth.

In a season-and-a-half as Wildcat starter, Wease has thrown for 2,668 yards.  He needs 28 yards Friday against Crittenden County to move past Jimmy Mathis into 10th on the career list.

Wease completed 14-of-24 passes for 390 yards against Fulton County on Sept. 24.  Only Moser [461] and Cam Jordan [423] have thrown for more yards in a game as a Wildcat.

At 180 yards passing a game, Wease ranks in the top three statewide among Class 3A schools and in the top 30 statewide in all classes.
