Former Caldwell County Tiger standout Jaylen Boyd set a Lindsey Wilson school record with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Blue Raiders’ 47-0 win at Thomas More Saturday night.
Boyd actually took the kickoff five yards deep in the end zone, but college stats only recognize it as a 100-yard return.
That came on the first play of the second half.
Boyd also ran for 38 yards as No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson improved to 5-0 and won its 16th straight game.
Boyd, who is already Lindsey Wilson’s all-time leading rusher, needs 172 yards to reach 3,000 for his college career.
