Camden Britton’s top 40 finish led the way for the Christian County cross country team over the weekend. Runners from Christian County were among those to take part in the 2021 Daviess County Classic at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro.
Britton finished the boys’ race with a time of 18:01.88, which was good enough to place him 35th out of the 226 runners in the race. Andrew Hauser, of Rock Bridge High School, won the race with a time of 15:31.98. Rock Bridge runners took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place in the guys’ race.
In the team competition, Christian County finished 14th on the boys’ side with 377 points. Rock Bridge took 1st place with the best possible score of 15 points.

Only one Lady Colonel runner took place in the girls’ race. Alyssa Adler finished with a time of 30:54.53. That time placed her 123rd in the girls’ race.
