Caldwell County goalkeeper Corbin Nichols came up with a key stop in a penalty-kick shootout Wednesday night in the semifinals of the 2nd Region tournament.
With the teams even at 4-4 in the tie-breaker, Nichols stopped a University Heights Academy shot, opening the door for the Tigers to win it on their final kick in the shootout.
Caldwell faces Henderson County for the championship on Thursday.
