The Fort Campbell Falcons came up with their best effort of the season Friday night. But, it was the Caverna Colonels who came away with the win at Fryar Stadium.

The Colonels picked up their fourth win of the season as they got by the Falcons 20-6. The win was the second in the last three games for Caverna.

The Falcon defense stepped up and allowed the fewest points it has given up this season. It was the first time Fort Campbell had limited an opponent to fewer than 40 points.

Fort Campbell fought the Colonels and for the first time this season were not hit with the running clock rule in a contest.

The Falcons will go on the road for a district matchup next Friday night at Ballard Memorial. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season, and the winner will clinch a berth in the Class 2A playoffs.
