Christian County Makes It Four Straight in Win at McLean

The Christian County Lady Colonels head into the final weekend of the volleyball regular season on a bit of a roll. The Lady Colonels traveled to Calhoun Thursday night and came back with a straight-set win over the McLean County Lady Cougars. The match win was the 4th in a row for Christian County, and the Lady Colonels are currently on a 12-set winning streak.

McLean County put up a battle in the first two sets. Christian County would take the opener 25-20 and then fight their way through the second set 25-23 to go up two sets to none in the match.

Christian then got things in high gear in the third set, cruising past the Lady Cougars 25-13 to close out the match.

The front line attack for the Lady Colonels had a big night. Hailey Sparks had 8 kills, Camryn Armstrong 7 kills, NeVaeh Day six, Skylar Kirby six, and Queinasia Henry added five of her own.

Rylee Owens finished with 17 digs, 7 aces, and one assist. Chantelle Haby racked up 30 assists in the match.

Christian County is set to wrap up the regular season this weekend in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Western Kentucky Smack Down. The Lady Colonels begin district play Tuesday night against Hopkinsville.
