Lubas Paces Falcon Runners at King and Queen of the West

William Lubas scored a top-five finish to pace the Fort Campbell cross country team at the King and Queen of the West Invitational Saturday in Hopkinsville.

Lubas covered the 3.1-mile course in a time of 19:11. He was just under a minute behind the race winner Austin Cavanaugh of Trigg County.

Joshua Blanton was second across the line for the Falcons and 37th position in 21:18. Brock Sharp finished in 71st place with the time of 23:47.

Rounding out the scoring for Fort Campbell were James Fisher and 84th place, Scott Bricker in 88th place, and Gunner Principle in 96th place.

Fort Campbell finished ninth in the team standings with 227 points. The Falcons will compete in the Class 1A Region 1 cross country meet Saturday at Trigg County.
