Britton Leads Colonel Runners With Fourth Place Finish

Cam Britton continues to work toward his goal of qualifying for his first state cross country meet following a fourth-place finish at Saturday’s King and Queen of the West Invitational at Hopkinsville Community College.

Britton finished the race with a time of 19:06. Trigg County’s Austin Cavanaugh won the race in 18:12.

Michael Webb was the second Colonel across the finish line and 21st place with a time of 19:54. Wyatt Fleming was 25th in 20:05. Rex Taggart finished and 61st place followed by J.T. Miles in 63rd, Joseph Parker in 66th, Hector Munoz in 72nd, and Eli Harrison in 76th place.

As a team, Christian County finished in sixth place with 146 points, five points behind 5th place Paducah Tilghman.

Christian County will run in the Class 3A Region 1 cross country meet Saturday afternoon at Muhlenberg County.

In the girls’ race, Alyssa Adler finished in 39th place.  She was the lone Lady Colonel to compete in the varsity race.
