Lady Wildcats Take Second Place at King and Queen of the West

Trigg County put all five of its runners in the top 20 and came home with a second-place finish at Saturday’s King and Queen of the West Invitational hosted by Hopkinsville High School and run at Hopkinsville Community College.

Fatu Crain led the Lady Wildcat runners with a fourth-place finish in 24:11. Jesse Paulter was 15th in 26:09. The Lady Wildcats had a good pack near the front as three runners followed each other across the finish line in successive order. Reese Bush was 18th in 26:44, followed by Camryn Boone in 19th place in 27:11, and Alesha Nyakeraka in 20th place in 27:13.

Alex Smith finished in 31st place with a time of 28:58.

Trigg County’s team total of 72 points was second only to Hopkinsville‘s 39. The Lady Wildcats will host the Class 2A Region 1 cross country meet Saturday at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
