The UHA Blazers have had a stranglehold on the 1A Region 1 cross country title, with Tomas Duncan claiming the last four before heading to the college ranks.

Freshman Cole Glover may be the next Blazer to dominate at the regional level, but he’ll have to wait at least a year after finishing 2nd Saturday at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

Glover ran a 17:32.12, 19 seconds behind Fort Campbell’s William Lubas’ 1st-place finish, helping the Blazers to a 4th-place team showing.

Chase Hendricks was 14th with a time of 19:37.75, followed just a spot back by Ray Farmer with a 19:46.13.  Eli Finch was the next Blazer finisher in 42nd-place and Jude Finch was 57th.

The Blazers finished with 122 points and an average time of 20:58.32, booking their spot at next week’s state meet at the Bourbon County Cross Country Course.
