Jaylen Boyd Tops 3,000 Career Yards in Lindsey Wilson Win

Jaylen Boyd and Lindsey Wilson College continue to put up some big numbers on the gridiron.

Boyd eclipsed 3,000 career rushing yards on Saturday as Lindsey Wilson blanked Pikeville 31-0.

Boyd is already the all-time leading rusher for the Blue Raiders, who are 7-0 this season and have won 17 straight games. He has 3,020 yards rushing at Lindsey Wilson after totaling 5,451 yards at Caldwell County (second all-time).

The victory at Pikeville was the 100th in program history for Lindsey Wilson, whose first season on the gridiron was 2010.

Head coach Chris Oliver has been there since the beginning and is now 100-33 with the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson has won its last three games by shutout.

Boyd rushed for 95 yards on 18 carries on Saturday. He also caught two passes for 23 yards.

The Blue Raiders ran up 485 yards of offense while holding the Bears to just 53 yards total.

Lindsey Wilson goes on the road again next Saturday, taking on Bethel (Tenn.) at 1:30 p.m. in McKenzie.
